Am 30.9.2017 ist der erste automatische Informationsaustausch über Finanzkonten zwischen Deutschland und 49 Staaten und Gebieten nach dem gemeinsamen Meldestandard der OECD gestartet. Weitere Staaten und Gebiete werden ab dem 30.9.2018 hinzukommen. Darüber hat das Bundesfinanzministerium berichtet.
Auf der Berliner Steuerkonferenz im Oktober 2014 haben zahlreiche Staaten den „Common Reporting Standard“ (CRS) unterschrieben. Auf Grundlage des CRS werden Informationen über Konten bzw. Vermögensanlagen zwischen den an diesem Informationsaustausch teilnehmenden Staaten und Gebieten automatisch ausgetauscht.
